SUBMIT A PROPOSAL FOR 1 OF 5 $2500 GRANTS OR 1 OF 5 $1000 GRANTS

 

APPLICATION DEADLINE: SEPTEMBER 19th, 2011

CRITERIA:

THE FOLLOWING QUESTIONS ARE REQUIRED ELEMENTS OF A SUCCESSFUL NAAAW YOUTH PROPOSAL :
•    APPLICATIONS MUST BE SUBMITTED, PLANNED AND LED BY YOUTH IN CO-OPERATION  WITH A YOUTH GROUP OR OTHER ORGANIZATION
•    EVENTS MUST OCCUR DURING NAAAW  – NOVEMBER 13-19TH, 2011 – No exceptions
•    A MINIMUM OF 2 LETTERS OF SUPPORT MUST BE INCLUDED WITH GRANT APPLICATION
•    APPLICATIONS MUST BE RECEIVED AT THE NAAAW OFFICE NO LATER THAN SEPTEMBER 19, 2011
•    FULL AND COMPLETE FINAL REPORTS MUST BE SUBMITTED ON NOVEMBER 30, 2011 OR  FUNDING WILL NOT BE RELEASED TO GRANT WINNERS

THINGS TO REMEMBER WHEN WRITING YOUR PROPOSAL:

  • Creativity – How will your event be creative?
  • Impact – How will your activities impact the youth in your community?
  • Living the Good Life – How will your activities make youth want to ‘live the good life’? – What does it mean to ‘live the good life’?
  • Activities – How many events do you have planned for the week? Describe each activity.
  • Money – How will you use the grant for your NAAAW activities?
  • Support- How are you going to get other groups and people to help you with your event?
