National Aboriginal Addictions Awareness Week

Community Grants

The 2009 Campaign offering 30 grants of $2500 all across Canada was by far much more successful than we had even dreamed!

We had thought that asking for 30 grants meant that we would not have trouble finding the perfect 30 winners. However, we have received 165 grants, and we are going to have quite a hard time choosing the candidates to provide $2500 to their events, and we still only have 30 to give away!

The way that we are going to filter them, first of all, is to see that they all met our qualifications. This includes “Letters of Support”, an outlined budget, community partnerships, identification of role models and a creative activity itinerary, and of course the most important factor: the impact caused by your events!

As long as you have filled out our forms correctly, we should be able to find all these points in your proposals, making it even harder for us to choose! We appreciate the effort put into these applications, and we sincerely hope that even if you do not win, you still have a successful week this year.

The winners will be posted up RIGHT HERE on this website, by
Thursday, October 22.
